For agencies💵 Billing & Payouts
Set rates and differential categories
Define your differential categories (night, weekend, holiday, and custom) and set per-customer billing rates and per-interpreter pay rates that drive the billing engine.
Rates are the foundation of accurate billing and payouts. You set what each customer is charged and what each interpreter is paid, plus differential categories that raise the rate during certain times or days.
Step by step
- 1Open agency settings and find the rate categories area.
- 2Create differential categories by type: time-of-day (such as night), day-of-week (such as weekend), holiday, or a custom rule that always applies.
- 3Set up a customer billing rate schedule with a default hourly rate, an optional travel rate, and per-category rates.
- 4Set up interpreter pay rate schedules the same way, with a default rate and per-category rates.
- 5Edit a customer's rates directly on their customer detail tab when they need their own pricing.
- 6Save; the billing engine will automatically apply these rates whenever a job is calculated.
Tips
- Rates are absolute dollars per hour, not add-ons to a base rate.
- When more than one category matches a time segment, the highest matching rate wins for that segment.
- Custom-rule categories always apply regardless of time or day.
