For interpreters⚙️ Account & Subscription
Add your skills and credentials
Fill in the tags that describe what you can do, add expiry dates to your certifications, and let every agency you work with see them.
Agencies search and rank interpreters by tags. If a job needs a court certification or tactile signing and you have not ticked it, you will not come up for that work. This is a five minute job you do once, then top up when something renews.
Step by step
- 1Open Account Settings from the sidebar, then the "Tags & Qualifications" tab.
- 2Under "Skills & Credentials", tick the certifications that apply to you and put an expiry date on each one.
- 3Under "Skills & Modalities", tick everything you actually do, grouped by category: Modality, Specialization, Setting, and so on.
- 4Add each state you are licensed in under "State Licenses". Holding at least one automatically gives you the "State Licensed" credential when you save.
- 5Click "Save skills & credentials". Your tags reach every agency you currently work with straight away.
- 6An individual agency may also keep tags of its own, for a site or a training. Those are claimed separately on the Agencies page, not here.
Tips
- Put a real expiry date on every credential. An expired credential stops counting the day after it expires, so a job that requires it will pass you by without telling you why.
- These tags are yours and they travel. One save updates every agency you are currently connected to, so you never fill this in twice.
- An agency that connects with you after you last saved will not see your tags until you save again. If a new agency says your profile looks empty, open this tab and save.
- Ticking a tag is a statement about yourself, the same as writing it on a resume. Agencies rely on it when they staff work, so only tick what you can actually do.
- Communication Needs tags are not offered here. Those describe a person being served rather than a skill, so they live on an agency's consumer records.
- The old free text Certifications box was retired. Everything now lives on this tab.
