Sponsor OneTerp Premium for your interpreters
Cover OneTerp Premium for your interpreters, either with a pool of seats you hand out or for your whole roster at one flat monthly price. They pay nothing.
OneTerp Premium is the paid tier of an interpreter's own toolkit, normally $15/month or $120/year that they pay themselves. Your agency can cover it in one of two ways. A seat pool is a block of seats at a per-seat rate, and you choose which people hold them. Whole-roster Premium is one flat monthly price that covers every active interpreter on your roster, with nothing to assign. An agency has one or the other, never both. OneTerp adds either one to your plan and it appears as a line on your normal monthly invoice, so nobody on your team can change your bill from Settings.
Step by step
- 1Contact OneTerp support and tell us whether you want a seat pool or your whole roster covered. Seats are sold as a block, and the per-seat price drops as the block gets bigger.
- 2We add it to your plan. Whole-roster Premium also has to be in your billing agreement: it switches on once the owner has signed an agreement that includes it.
- 3In Agency view, open Settings from the sidebar, then the "Operations & Alerts" tab, then "Interpreter Premium".
- 4Whole roster: the "Premium for your roster" card lists everyone under "Covered by you". Anyone under "Not covered yet" either joined since the last nightly update or already has Premium of their own. Click "Refresh coverage" to pick up new joiners straight away.
- 5Seat pool: the "OneTerp Premium Seats" card shows how many seats are used. Under "Available to cover", click "Give a seat" next to a person. Their Premium turns on and they get an email telling them so.
- 6To take a seat back, find the person under "Covered by you" and click "Remove". The seat is free to reassign right away.
Tips
- Premium covers the paid tools: professional invoices (emailed from the interpreter's own mailbox), the Schedule C tax export, a CEU certificate vault and board-ready CEU export, CEU deadline alerts and workshops matched to their gap, travel assistance and suggested mileage, and publishing a public portfolio page. Tracking CEUs, jobs, expenses and income stays free for everyone, covered or not.
- A seat pool is billed on the seats you bought, not the seats you filled. Buy ten and assign six and you pay for ten, so assign them all.
- Whole-roster Premium follows your roster on its own. New interpreters are picked up in the nightly update, or as soon as you click Refresh coverage. Office staff and placeholder interpreters are never included.
- Someone who already pays for Premium themselves, or has a complimentary account, is not covered by you, so you are never charged twice for one person. In a seat pool they are listed under "Not available right now" as "Already has Premium, no seat needed".
- People you have invited but who have not joined yet show as "Available once they join". Give them a seat after they accept.
- More than one agency can cover the same interpreter at once. You never see which other agencies cover someone, and they never see you.
- When you stop covering someone and no other agency covers them, their Premium stays on for 30 more days and we email them the date it ends. That applies whether you removed their seat, they left your roster, your plan ended, or your agency account was suspended or closed. After the 30 days their account goes back to free. The 30 days cost you nothing.
- Nothing an interpreter saved is ever deleted when coverage ends. Their CEU records, certificates, invoices and expenses stay with them. You cannot see their CEU records or certificates at any point, even while you pay for their Premium.
- 🔴 If you ever reduce the size of your seat pool, the seats that fall outside the new count are the most recently assigned ones. Whoever has had a seat longest keeps it.
- Any team member with Settings: Manage can open Interpreter Premium, hand out and take back seats, and refresh coverage. Nobody can change how many seats exist, switch roster coverage on, or change a price from here. Only your agency's agreement with OneTerp does that.
- The interpreter's own Subscription Tier card reads "Sponsored by" and your agency's name, with no price and no payment button, so it is clear there is nothing for them to pay or cancel.
- On the roster, open a person's record and the Details section shows "Sponsored by you", "Sponsored by an agency", or "Their own subscription".
