Add interpreters who don't have accounts yet

Invite and schedule an interpreter who has no OneTerp account; their booked jobs move to their real account when they sign up.

A placeholder is a roster entry for someone without an account. You can schedule them right away, and everything migrates automatically once they join.

Step by step

  1. 1On the Interpreters tab, invite the person by email; if they have no account, they are added as an active placeholder (you can include a phone number).
  2. 2Schedule the placeholder on jobs just like any other interpreter, they appear in the dispatch board and assignment forms.
  3. 3When the person signs up using that email address, their account is matched automatically and all their booked jobs, busy times, and schedules move to the real account.
  4. 4To link a placeholder manually, go to Settings, Profile & Team, Team Roster, and choose "Link to account" for that placeholder.
  5. 5To remove a placeholder you no longer need, choose Revoke, which reopens any jobs they were booked on.

Tips

  • Offers and SMS are suppressed for placeholders until they are claimed, since there is no account to notify yet.
  • Revoking a placeholder permanently retires it so a later signup with the same email cannot re-claim it.
  • Manual linking and migration happen securely on the server because they touch agency-owned records.
