For everyone🚀 Getting Started
Run a volunteer interpreter group
Coordinate a small volunteer group (church, ministry, community) with a shared schedule. No customers, no billing, completely free.
Volunteer groups are a money-free version of an agency for small teams who just need to see who's covering which day. There are no customers, consumers, or invoices to manage, and no platform fees; a volunteer job is simply a date, a time, a language or role, and who's covering it.
Step by step
- 1Contact OneTerp support to have your account enabled as a group organizer (volunteer groups are enabled by our team, not self-serve).
- 2Once enabled, open Freelance HQ; a Volunteer Group card appears; use it to create your group.
- 3Invite your fellow interpreters to the group the same way an agency builds its roster.
- 4Book a volunteer job from the calendar: just pick the date, time, language or role, and who's covering.
- 5Use the sidebar's view toggle to flip between your group's schedule and your own Freelance HQ.
Tips
- Being an organizer doesn't affect your interpreter life; you can still take assignments from any agencies you work with.
- Billing, Customers, Invoicing, and the closeout/audit trail are hidden for volunteer groups; completed jobs are simply done.
- Each person can run one volunteer group, and someone who already manages a commercial agency can't also be an organizer.
