For interpreters🗓️ Your Work

View your agency's schedule (Dispatch)

If an agency lets you see its schedule, a Dispatch row in your sidebar opens its whole board, read only, where you can also place interns.

Some agencies let a staff interpreter see the whole schedule without opening up the rest of the office, for example to mentor interns during an internship season. If viewing the schedule is the only agency access you have, you stay in your normal interpreter view and get one extra sidebar row called Dispatch. It opens the same board the agency's coordinators use, but you can only look, plus add, move or remove interns.

Step by step

  1. 1Click "Dispatch" in the sidebar, alongside Home, My Assignments, Closeouts, Availability and Agencies.
  2. 2Use the tabs along the top: "Dispatch Board" for one day, "Week View", "Month Heat Map", "Cancelled", and "Written Translations" at the far right.
  3. 3Click any job to see its details.
  4. 4To place an intern, drag a job onto that intern's row and add them as a shadow. They ride along to observe, never fill the slot, and are never billed or paid.
  5. 5To give a shadow spot to a different intern, drag it onto that intern's row. To remove it, drag it onto the Unassigned row.

Tips

  • Anything else, such as assigning a regular interpreter or releasing a job, is blocked, and a message explains that you can only add, move, or remove interns.
  • You do not get the Agency View switch, Operations, Portal Requests, Leave Requests or Reports. If the agency gives you any more access, the full agency view and the switch come back.
  • A link to a job on the board, from a notification or a shared link, opens here on your own Dispatch page.
  • Drafts & Templates stay hidden, because resuming a half-built job needs full scheduling access.
