Quickly log a job from anywhere

Use the floating 'Log Job' button to capture any freelance job in about ten seconds, with smart defaults that remember your last client.

The quick-log button floats on your screen throughout the app so you can record a freelance job the moment it ends, then optionally add mileage or start an invoice right away.

Step by step

  1. 1Tap the floating 'Log Job' button (or open it from your phone's home-screen shortcut).
  2. 2Enter the job title and pick a client, or type a new client name to create one on the spot.
  3. 3Set the date and start/end time; the hours fill in automatically from the time window.
  4. 4Choose how you're billing and enter your rate (or hours), a live 'This job earns' preview shows the total.
  5. 5Tap 'Log this job' to save it.
  6. 6On the success screen, optionally tap 'Add mileage' to log a job-linked mileage deduction, or 'Invoice this client' to start building an invoice.

Tips

  • Your last-used client and rate are pre-filled automatically; tap 'Same as last job' to copy your previous entry.
  • The quick-log sheet is the same full form as the External Assignments page, including splitting hours across day/night/weekend rates and the 'Apply client rate' quick-fill.
  • You can't save until there's a title, a client (or new client name), and a rate.
  • Jobs dated in the future are saved as 'Scheduled', you'll close them out later instead of seeing earnings or invoice prompts right away.
  • The mileage shortcut uses the standard rate per mile, so a quick distance entry becomes a deduction instantly.
  • Don't want the floating button? Hide it under Settings → Freelance Tools, the Hub itself stays available.
