Send marketing emails the compliant way

Turn on marketing mode so promotional emails include the required address and one-click unsubscribe, and respect opt-outs.

Promotional emails have legal requirements that ordinary operational messages do not. OneTerp handles these automatically when you flag a batch as marketing.

Step by step

  1. 1Make sure your agency mailing address is saved in your branding settings; marketing email needs it.
  2. 2Open the Operations page and go to the Batch Message tab.
  3. 3Build and filter your recipient list as usual.
  4. 4Turn on the Marketing / promotional message toggle.
  5. 5Compose your message and send the blast.

Tips

  • Marketing emails automatically include your physical mailing address and a one-click Unsubscribe link, as required by CAN-SPAM.
  • If no agency address is on file, marketing email is blocked until you add one in branding settings.
  • Anyone who has unsubscribed is skipped automatically, and the send summary reports how many were skipped.
  • Transactional messages (confirmations, offers, reminders) do not need the address or unsubscribe footer, so leave marketing mode off for those.
