Send a batch message to your roster

Filter your roster and broadcast an SMS, email, or both to the interpreters and staff you choose.

The Batch Message board lets you message many people at once. It pulls together your interpreters and staff, lets you narrow the list with filters, then sends your message over SMS and/or email.

Step by step

  1. 1Open the Operations page and select the Batch Message Employees tab.
  2. 2Apply filters to narrow recipients by language, employment classification (W-2 or 1099), or required tags.
  3. 3Check the boxes next to the people who should receive the message.
  4. 4Compose your message and choose whether to send by SMS, email, or both.
  5. 5For email, dress the message up if you want to: put an image on its own line as ![description](image URL), and a call-to-action button on its own line as [button:Click here](link URL). Both render properly in the email.
  6. 6Use the preview to see the real email exactly as it will arrive, rather than a rough approximation.
  7. 7If you write HTML yourself, switch the composer to raw-HTML mode and paste it in.
  8. 8To reuse a message you send often, save it as a template from the composer, and load a saved template to prefill the next blast.
  9. 9For urgent messages, optionally turn on Force SMS Delivery to reach people who have otherwise opted out of texts.
  10. 10Click Send Blast and watch the progress counter as each recipient is messaged.

Tips

  • Placeholder interpreters (those without an account yet) are always skipped.
  • Force SMS Delivery is for genuine emergencies only, since it overrides individual opt-out choices.
  • SMS sending must be enabled for your agency for texts to go out; email always works.
  • Images and buttons are email only. An SMS carries plain text, so keep the wording readable on its own.
  • If you are sending a promotional rather than operational message, use marketing mode instead so the message stays compliant.
