Customize automated messages and templates

Edit the SMS and email templates that go out automatically for offers, assignments, cancellations, and updates.

OneTerp sends interpreters templated SMS and email messages on key scheduling events. You control the wording for each event, with click-to-insert merge tags and a live preview.

Step by step

  1. 1Go to Settings and open the automated-messages tab.
  2. 2Pick the event you want to edit: assignment offer, assignment assigned, cancellation, or update.
  3. 3Switch between the SMS and Email channels, and turn each channel on or off for that event.
  4. 4Edit the message body; click a merge-tag pill (such as the interpreter name, date, or location) to drop it into the text at your cursor.
  5. 5Watch the live preview update as you type: the SMS shows as a phone bubble, the email in a browser frame.
  6. 6Click Save Template Updates to apply your changes to future messages.

Tips

  • A message only sends when both your template has the channel enabled AND the interpreter has opted in to that channel, so the right people get reached without spamming anyone.
  • The character counter estimates how many SMS segments a long text will use.
  • Merge tags carry general booking info only. Keep templates free of patient details, since these messages are not a place for PHI.
