For interpreters🗓️ Your Work
Take written translation jobs
Opt in to written work, accept document jobs with a due date, and deliver the finished translation with its word count.
Written translation jobs are documents, not appointments: you get a source file and a due date instead of a time and place, and you're paid by the word instead of by the hour. They show up alongside your regular assignments with their own card.
Step by step
- 1On your profile, tick "I offer written translations" so agencies can send you document work.
- 2When a job is offered, the card shows the document type, language, due date, and the source file; accept or decline like any other offer.
- 3Download the source document and translate it.
- 4Click Deliver on the card, upload your finished translation, and enter the word count.
- 5The coordinator reviews your delivery. If it's sent back, the card shows their note; fix the file and deliver again.
- 6Once accepted, the job is complete and pays by the word at your per-word rate.
Tips
- Watch the due date; the card shows an overdue badge once it passes.
- The word count you enter drives your pay (words times your per-word rate, with a minimum), so count the words in the finished translation carefully.
- Delivered and accepted jobs are read-only; if you spot a problem after delivering, contact the agency rather than re-uploading.
