SMS Messaging Terms & Consent
Last updated: 2026-06-11
Program description
OneTerpScheduling is a workforce-scheduling platform for interpreting agencies and the interpreters who work with them. With a user’s consent, we send transactional text messages to interpreters about their own work: assignment offers, confirmations, cancellations, reminders, and related updates. These are time-sensitive operational notifications sent only to registered users who have opted in. They are not marketing or promotional messages, and never go to the general public.
SMS is entirely optional. Opting in to text messages is never a requirement for creating an account or using OneTerp. Users can sign up for and fully use the platform without ever enabling SMS, and can turn it off again at any time. Messaging consent is a separate, affirmative choice, kept apart from signing up or using the service.
How users opt in
SMS is off by default. A user opts in through a separate web form in their OneTerpnotification settings — not during signup, and not as a condition of using the platform:
- The signed-in user opens their notification settings and enters their own mobile number.
- They check a consent box — unchecked by default— agreeing to the consent statement below.
- We text a one-time verification code to that number.
- Messaging begins only after the user enters that code, confirming the number is theirs (double opt-in).
Consent is never assumed, transferred, or purchased.
Consent statement users agree to
This is the exact disclosure a user agrees to when turning on SMS:
Consent disclosure version: 2026-07-04. The version a user agreed to is recorded with their consent as dated proof.
