Find agencies and get discovered
Browse agencies looking for interpreters in your area, request to join, and opt in so agencies can find you.
The discovery directory connects interpreters and agencies by area. You can browse agencies in your state and request to join their roster, and, if you opt in, agencies searching your area can find you and invite you. Being listed is free.
Step by step
- 1Open the agency directory at /find/agencies. There is a link to it from "Agencies" in the sidebar.
- 2Filter by state, then narrow by city, language, or service if you like.
- 3Open an agency's public profile to learn more, or click "Request to join" to ask for a spot on their roster.
- 4Watch your notifications, the agency reviews your request and you'll be connected once they approve.
- 5To be discoverable yourself, open Account Settings from the sidebar and, on the Profile tab, go to the "Discovery directory" section. Tick "List me in the discovery directory", set your state and city, and click "Save directory settings".
Tips
- Listing yourself is free and off by default. Untick the box and save, and you disappear from searches.
- Your listing shows your name, photo, city, languages and skills, taken straight from your profile. No contact details are shown, and only signed-in agencies can browse it.
- A public portfolio page is separate and part of OneTerp Premium. If you publish one, agencies can open it from your listing; if you don't, you are still listed.
- Joining is always two-sided: a request you send must be approved by the agency, and an invite an agency sends must be accepted by you.
