Delete your account

Permanently delete your OneTerp account and personal data from Account Settings. It cannot be undone.

You can delete your own account from inside OneTerp, without emailing anyone. Deletion removes you, it does not touch an agency's business records of work you did for them. Read what goes and what stays before you confirm, because there is no undo.

Step by step

  1. 1Open Account Settings from the sidebar and scroll to the bottom, to the "Delete account" box.
  2. 2Click "Delete account" to open the confirmation page. It lists exactly what will be removed.
  3. 3Read the two lists: what gets deleted, and what stays with the agencies you worked for.
  4. 4Type DELETE in the confirmation box, which arms the button, then confirm.
  5. 5You land on a confirmation screen and are signed out.

Tips

  • What gets deleted: your sign-in and profile (name, contact details, photo), your public profile and portfolio if you published one, your links to agencies and your availability, and your saved receipts, invoices, and notifications.
  • What stays: records of jobs you actually worked stay with the agencies that scheduled them. Those are their business and legal records, kept under their own retention rules. Your account is unlinked from them.
  • 🔴 If you subscribe to Freelance HQ Premium, deleting your account does NOT cancel the subscription. Cancel it first in your app store's subscription settings or you will keep being billed.
  • Agency owners cannot delete straight away. Your agency would be left with nobody able to export or close it, so hand ownership to another admin in Agency Settings, or close the agency, and then delete. The page tells you this and links you there.
  • Everyone else, staff, coordinators, admins, and freelance interpreters, can delete without any precondition.
  • If you signed in with Apple, you may be asked to sign in once more and choose Delete account again. That is Apple's security requirement, not an error.
