Set up the customer booking portal
Give a customer a branded, PIN-protected link where they can submit interpreter requests directly.
The booking portal is a public page where a customer fills out a request form. It carries your branding, is protected by a PIN, and you can tailor which fields appear.
Step by step
- 1Open the customer record and enable the portal; OneTerp generates a shareable link and a PIN.
- 2Share the link and PIN with your customer (keep the PIN separate from the link for security).
- 3Customize the form: relabel fields and set whether the nature, onsite contact, and notes fields are visible, required, or hidden.
- 4Confirm the available locations, requestors, languages, and branding shown on the form.
- 5Reset the PIN at any time if it needs to be rotated, or disable the portal to take it offline.
Tips
- The form carries a prominent notice asking requestors to avoid PHI: no full names, dates of birth, record numbers, or diagnoses, just initials or an ID.
- The PIN is stored separately from the public link, so it cannot be read just by having the URL.
- When you start the time field, the end time auto-fills to two hours later, which the requestor can adjust.
- Re-enabling a portal keeps the same link, so previously shared URLs keep working.
